The GT500 comes as the natural evolution of the HR50. The strong demand for a additional clean channel on the HR50, as requested by many musicians, has led us to a careful study, design, development, and testing to add an additional channel, with the prerogative not to affect in any way what has always marked the sound of the HR. 
So after having modified a few HR, MadCat decided to launch on the market the brand new GT500. 
It is a 50 watt amplifier, 2 channels selectable by footswitch, joint equalization and indipendent gain and volume controls. The HR channel gives its best in'80s hard rock styles. Playing with the equalizer, the gain and the volume of your guitar, sound can 
easily range from a light crunch to a hard overdrive. The clean channel is clearly 
a MK50 derivation. Pumped to high volumes, due to a pair of E34L, It keeps the punch, definition and dynamics of typical rock sounds. Depth and resonance adds even greater versatility, allowing further and finer adjustments to the equalization, and an entirely valvular loop with separate controls for entry and exit volume allows for a perfect interface to this amplifier with all kind of racks and/or pedals. Completely hand-made, the GT500 is the first 2-channels MadCat amplifier. Being made by hand and being 
made with the purpose in our mind to please the needs of every musician, it is in costant development and tweakable, as any other of our products. Definition, dynamic and sound impact are just some of the features of this amplifier.
