KT45

Here is the second effort from Mad Cat: the KT45, developed on the model of the amp heads used in the seventies, now oversight collector's items.
As usual, we used only the best materials and the technical features doesn't fear comparisons. We added an "mvppi", a master volume control post phase inverter, known as "rich mode": it permits to obtain a full amp distortion at low levels and to pass to a clean sound just dialing a lower value on the guitar's volume pot.
The result is a head that is far beyond the "reissue" models that are avaible today on the market. The sound is very vintage, less modern: with an humbucker-equipped guitar plugged in it recalls seventies rock. Really extraordinary... but with a premium single coil... it rocks!
You can control the ampli distortion, when rectification works costantly, only with your finger's dynamics: keeping all volumes constant if you slightly touch the strings you'll get a clean sound with a little crunch in the low end, while if you hit harder you will obtain a rockin' Hendrix-sounding big crunch.
A little tip: a product of this kind, with highly selected tubes (valve art), built with value components instead of low cost ones is cheaper than a reissue model...
